On its highest regular setting, it is mighty bright, and then you can push a button on the end to “burst” the brightness further while you hold that button, similar to what you can do with some hand mixers or vacuum cleaners.At that highest setting holding that “burst” button, it’s quite bright. But I have an industrial flashlight that is 2800 lumens and this falls a bit short compared to that one. But….so what? It’s clearly the brightest light I have ever used at that size. Further, it has a nice rechargeable battery that can be charged with a standard USB charger.So I was a bit disappointed at first, but realized it’s a great value for its money. So I promptly purchased a second one for my car. Not only can this be helpful finding something you dropped on the floor or searching in your glove compartment to augment the puny light that’s in there, but its strobe feature could be a literal life-saver at night after an accident or breakdown to warn oncoming traffic. Highly recommend.
. I suspect the battery charge won’t last too long considering how hot the flashlight gets. In fact, it gets too hot to hold at the front. The controls are a bit inconvenient, but I don’t see how one would do them better in this price range. It might be a bit too bright from some purposes..
