Using the USB plug for an auxiliary power source could be a handy feature, but I have regular portable battery packs that serve this purpose more effectively. A decent value AT THIS PRICE.NOT so Good : Might be rain and splash proof, but is NOT waterproof. Does not really seem strong and rugged. Light weight is a positive, but plastic case does not seem strong enough to take major bumps or drops. Definitely would fall short as a self defense weapon. Cheap appearing sheet metal handle adds to the impression of low construction integrity. At $30 and more, which many similar designs are selling for it would be no bargain unless it was really made differently, which I doubt.Useful features and fair price. It’s the brightest flashlight I’ve ever owned! It’s exactly as the descriptions and photos show. One side shoots a beam of light hundreds of yards into the distance. The other side lights up the entire area around you or your feet so where you’re walking is clear as day. Also, both sides of the flashlight can stay lit at the same time which is something I’ve not seen before in other flashlights. I use this for rock hunting at night which I do to avoid the heat. So I need a super bright light that can stay lit for at least 8+ hours, which this does. With the ability to be used as a power bank as well, it’s ideal for me. I also use a clip to attach the handle to my belt loop, so I can simply aim it in the direction I need without having to continuously hold it. Obviously it would be great for hiking or camping too. DO NOT take the unit out without first charging it until all blue lights stay lit. I didn’t realize this and it ran out of juice after a little over two hours. So take the extra time, about 8-10 hours, to charge it to full capacity. This is my second purchase. I highly recommend this light! It’s worth every penny!.

I had to purchase a flashlight, in a big hurry, because summer rain storms can cause so much havoc. Add to that my beloved husband suffers with dementia. The flashlight arrived and it worked just as the owners said. I was so relieved – for two days. My husband removed the taped charging cord and couldn’t recall where he had put it. I searched everywhere and finally contacted the owners, hoping for at least guidance on how to replace the one item that is needed to keep this multifaceted flashlight working. Not only is the product great, but so are the owners. I got a complete replacement and it was delivered gratis. In this day and age of struggling businesses and at risk job market I can only say “thank you.” Again and again. Our house is safe, and we are, too. The unit is just terrific but the kindness of these people will remain with me forever. Thank you. And thank for you letting me do what I don’t normally do: express an opinion on a product. This is a must item to have at home, in the car, where ever the need for a light may be.. I have “real” 4000LM flashlights. This is not near that, more like half that when compared side by side.Fully charged I got 5 hours on HIGH (grid LED side). Then I measured the mAh rating from dead to full charge, took 10 hours to charge and the battery in mine is only about 9000mAh. not 15000mAh like I was told.Built quality is good enough for a house in case of emergencies. Plastic build doesn’t inspire confidence to use in a shop.So not as bright as expected and battery capacity is almost half of what is advertised. I’m keeping it because because at the end of the day, 5 hours on high is one of the longer lasting flashlights I own and some light is better than no light..
