There are wayyy too many settings, and rather than being able to get to the one I want to use regularly and just go between that and the off position, like I can do with nearly every single bicycle light I own, I have to click not one, but TWO buttons all the way through all the ridiculous variants of lit-up before getting it to turn off. I’ve tried holding the buttons down one at a time, both together (there’s both a right and a left button to cycle through the settings, plus a switch in the rear that operates the tail-light). It reminds me precisely of the same problem in the world of vibrators – manufacturers, desperate for extra things to advertise, have often gone overboard and programmed like 12+ different vibration sequences that are going to be frustrating af when someone just wants a few to choose from without having to remember which one they liked and hope they don’t skip over it right when they need it.2. It’s nearly impossible to get this light to work with a standard bicycle helmet. I read at least one positive review of this light before purchasing that indicated it was for a bike commuter. Either those commuters are not wearing helmets or they’re wearing BMX/skateboarding style helmets that are perfectly flat and rounded in the front and rear. It nearly caused me to crash several times on my after-dark ride home from work because the straps kepts sliding up my helmet and falling off.3. The headlamp base platform was falling off the straps by the second time I tried using it, and it’s more difficult to get reattached than other headlamps I’ve used. And the whole thing is extremely bulky. Even the tilting options seem off – the one time I managed to keep it on my helmet while commuting, it would either be pointing too high up or a bit too far downward – a problem I’ve never had with cheaper headlamps.I’ll be returning this for a refund asap. It’s a darn shame, cuz I was sure looking forward to looking across a lake with this light. This thing is bright! I have other headlamps I use for specific tasks such as working on the car, but this one is more for the outdoors when you need a lot of light.
