Repeatedly it turns on from being in my pocket. Although it comes with a “lock” feature, I don’t have time to keep clicking the button to lock and unlock. In addition, it takes a few moments to find the power button if you are in a tight spot. [The power button should be on back]> The clip for pocket/hat slips very easily around the light. Thus, the power button is not in same spot.> Functionality of the power button is starting to fail. It now at times does not respond to being depressed. After a few moments, it will start working and be consistent, but then back to not operating. Nothing consistent so as to trouble shoot it.Final conclusion:This is a fair flashlight for occasional use. IT IS NOT AN EVERY DAY CARRY LIGHT. It has just been overly troublesome in use during the past 1.5 months. I’ll continue to use until end of life, but I would NOT buy this again.
. I think this flashlight is just the right combination of size, weight, and brightness. It feels good in the hand. Fits easily in the pocket. It goes from 1 lumen to 2000 lumens, so from dim enough to get around without bothering anyone sleeping to light up the backyard to see what the noise was. It has a well crafted button that isn’t going to wear out like cheaper made flashlights. You can choose between step or continuous ramp brightness level adjustments depending on your preference. The ability to go directly to 1 lumen or 2000 lumen from off is also very handy. With it’s IPX8 waterproof rating (Continuous immersion, 1 M or more) you don’t have to worry about getting it wet or dropping it in water. It charges with any USB-C cable at 10 watts (5V 2A), so it charges twice as fast as the cheaper flashlights and it can use either C to C or C to A USB cables unlike another flash light I bought. I love this flashlight so much I bought one for my brother and his wife. Now they love it too..

I continue to be super impressed with Sofirn lights. I wanted to give the 21700 form factor a try and this seemed like a good option. I love my sc31 pro and this is very similar to that with the ability to have the ramping interface and the side switch. It’s great. Function wise it’s comparable to the sc31 pro but with an extra 2000mah of battery without much added size- see photo for comparison. This thing puts out an amazing amount of light, can light up my whole back yard. It’s a good balance of throw vs spill, with a super bright hot spot. The tint is similar to other Sofirn lights I have, though a bit on the cooler side than I typically like, it’s not the cold blue that most junk flashlights have, rather a nice white that’s pretty neutral. Very good overall. I also really like the clip – it could probably be attached to the bill of a hat but I think it’d be too heavy for that to really be functional. Overall, packs a big punch but still small enough to be comfortable when clipped in my pocket. Ramping is great, the lowest setting is very low but still usable in the dark, highest setting is nuts, and the ramping is a nice speed. Also, usb type c charging is great. Note you have to swivel the battery cover – see photo.Overall, great flashlight, can’t go wrong with this one.. A couple things when you’re looking for a flashlight:- Look for a 21700 battery, they’re higher voltage, higher wattage, thus- more output. The 18650 batteries are the standard rechargeable, but they just don’t put out the juice.- Look for USB-C, the physical connection holds up better than mini or micro, but I like the newer magnetic couplings too, just don’t have the experience to say they’ll hold up or not.- A super-bright light is great, but no pocket/EDC-sized light will put out a bazillion lumens for any reasonable amount of time. So find a flashlight that has a super-eco mode, or moonlight, or something to that effect.- I really like the reversible/double clip so you can clip it on your pocket or ballcap seamlessly. This light has a double clip on it which does present a very minor snag hazard, but I feel this design is better than having to unscrew a clip to reverse it. Lost screws, fumbling, cursing, no thanks.This light conforms to the above requirements very well. It’s a smart light, meaning the switch isn’t mechanical, it’s electrical. We’ll see if it holds up, but it certainly feels sturdy enough.1 click turns it on in the last brightness mode you had it in, then long press will cycle through brightness modes, excluding moonlight (barely on), 1 click turns it back off.2 clicks puts it into immediate OMFG-too-bright mode, 1 click turns it back offWhile it’s off, a long-press puts it into moonlight mode, the LED just barely on, still enough light to walk down a sidewalk (not a trail) with no other light source (pitch black). This mode lasts well over a week of constant-on use. 1 click turns it back off.If the thing breaks, I’ll come back and blast my review, so assume no news is good news..
