But until then, I contend that this flashlight was designed by an idiot.. These are great flashlights. They are very robust and solid. When you pick them up you can tell they are not flimsy. I like that you can adjust the brightness levels by light presses and turn it off on any level with a full press. They are bright but by no means the brightest, but bright enough to easily see anything around my yard. The zoom is fairly stiff right now and will hold the setting while you are using the light. They seem to be well sealed against moisture and come with extra O ring. I am not sure but you might be able to turn it on after 10-15 seconds of sitting and it might be that it comes back on full power frome any setting. I have had them for 5 days and have learned that they may be better than I thought. It is Outlite’s fault for not including instructions. I am bad, I did not look through the bubble envelopes for the flashlights and the battery tubes for 18650 batteries. In my defense they instructions were printed in such small type as to require a microscope to read them.. They are bright, they have a good heft and solid feel. You adjust the focus not by twisting the end but simply sliding it back & forth which is easier & faster and so far it stays where I want it fine, can go from very wide to a tiny little square. The 3 brightness levels are great, the brightest being super bright and the dimmest generally more than sufficient , batteries seem to be holding up well 2 months later.The main drawback is cycling through the modes. Mine seem to always turn on at the Medium brightness but I didn’t realize that at first & was always checking to see what I was on by cycling thru. To change you half-press the power button, but like if I want it brightest I turn it on, then half press to go to Low, then again for Strobe, then again for SOS, then again for High. That’s pretty annoying, plus Strobe/SOS are features you’re hopefully never going to need to use so it’s kind of annoying having to always be cycling thru them in normal daily use. Not sure what the ideal cost-effective solution would be to keeping the extra modes while fixing the problem of way too many button presses & not knowing for sure which mode you’re on, but those are my only issues with it so far, very happy with the purchase for the price.. The flashlights never worked. I purchased brand new batteries still don’t work. Sent email to seller, no response..
