If there is absolutely no light pollution then you will see farther but not by much. More led’s do not make a better flashlight. The brightest flashlight in the world is a 100,000 lumen monster and it uses cree xhp70’s. This light does not use them. It uses cree XML T6’s which only put out a little more than 1,000 lumens each. Light does not help light shine brighter so multiplying led’s doesn’t have a brighter effect even though it may seem that way. I still bought a 1,000+ lumen flashlight it just seems brighter because the light is thicker. If you made a flashlight with 32 cree xml T6’s instead of the 16 this one comes with it wouldn’t be 100% brighter. It would light up the forest maybe 25% more.Is it a waste of money?
