I’ve been going with Soonfire for a long time it been my go to flashlight company for me or even just to gift them this is smaller that the other ones I have had so it fits perfect in pocket when I wanna go out on walks at night it’s really bright I can see easy 100 foot away I highly recommend it. At the time of this writing, I’ve had the Soonfire MX flashlight for a little while now, and I have no particular complaints.It’s USB rechargeable, has 5 regular lighting modes, a battery voltage indicator, and comes with nice accessories which include a belt holster and an unprotected 2500mAh plain wrapper 18650 battery. It can also use smaller battery sizes… either 2 – (disposable) CR123, or 2 – rechargeable (lithium) 16340, or 2 – rechargeable (lithium) 18350 size cells. Keep in mind it can only charge internally with a singe 18650.The XP-L LED along with a smooth reflector, produce a somewhat focused beam with long throw of around 300 meters.Operating it is as simple as clicking the main tail switch, (and by the way it’s also a tactical switch–for momentary light) then advancing the modes by pressing the side switch.Instant turbo is available by double-clicking the side switch from any mode. At 10:23p red light started to flash and flashlight died at 11:22p running on 4th mode, not on 5th mode as it turns off after 3 minutes automatically.Ran it against Wuben 1200 flashlight and it became useless after 1h40m on high. Both flashlights had same power output, this one has the 5th mode so it’s brighter.The mode switch is easy, tail button is great as it’s separated from the modes so it’s always so the mode u left it. I like the double press to activate max light and single press to go back to low. Do warehouse work it’s great and it temporarily blinds humans and animals.It lasts almost 5 hours constantly on on mode 4 and doesn’t get too hot, it’s still barrable to hold, even in south florida.Within 15 minutes, it goes to about 120 degrees on the head and 110 on the handle.The sucky part is the holster, the Velcro strap is way toooo long, the belt strap should be solid and the bottom of holster should be enclosed because I had the flashlight fall out few times out if it so it’s useless. Also, u have to turn on the flashlight to charge it..? Why is it that way?Why not just plug in and it starts to charge on its own like many other flashlights do..Other than that, it charges in about 3 hours and it’s a great flashlight to have with u wherever u go.. The tail button bezel blocks easy access to the tail switch. This leads to awkward holds on the flashlight. This combined with the slick body makes for high droppage risk during useIf you have it oriented in your hand just right it works great. What you do not want out of the tactical flashlight is the need to orient it properly in your hand to make sure you can operate it easily. So I’m having to hold it in a very awkward way to make sure I get the tail light hit if my hands are wet at all this thing is not going to work.The brightness is great and the operational feature set is great..
