Bought on 3/2/2017 I used it rarely – sat on my workbench mostly. Bright light and actually was just what I wanted, but I just wish that the charging adapter on the light didn’t fall out a couple weeks after warranty was up. It was never soldered upon a closer look. So can’t charge it. Tried to go to Stanley but they have a company Baccus LTD and I have to send it back to them and fill out the form and send in the light and MAYBE after 14 days they will, oh but wait it’s a month out of warranty. So tough luck on me. It’s now 35 bucks on Amazon but I can’t see getting frustrated again – Should I rethink and make myself believe that I’m buying tools that only will last a year? Maybe that is what it has come to… but I buy a lot of tools, and they aren’t going to be Stanley anymore. Sad.. My ageing mother routinely battles critters who are trying to eat her chickens. After her former light went to be with the Good Lord, I bought this to get her back in action. So far being armed with this light and a .22lr, she has suffered the loss of no chickens, however she is still mourning the loss of one wheelburrow tire and a water bucket..

I use the Stanley mostly as a spotlight when I take out the 2 small Maltipoos at night. Definitely bright enough to spot the Owls at 100 yards away in the tree. Here’s a picture of an owl spotted at 30 yards away.. I bought this light for my boat. I followed the instruction on charging the light for first time. However, after using It a couple month’s later it did not work correctly. Thinking it was the battery I charged it again. Come to find out it wouldn’t hold a charge. It would only go on for a few seconds then keep shuting off. Wasted my money, very disappointed in this product. Its not like Stanley products to fail right of the box.. This battery is already toast after only a couple of uses!!! Can’t replace anything to boot. I like the trigger handle vs the one I bought prior where you push a button to lock it in, (which by the way still works). Other than the trigger holding itself so light stay lit, I totally wasted my money.. Added a second one of these love this light. Well my first experience with this light was excellent needed to add another light to the mix and decided to reorder this one. I originally rated it a 5 but am now after using it a couple months am not very happy with this one. Started off just fine held charge well and quickly recharged. I went on a camping trip a couple weeks ago and light seemed to be fine. When got home placed it on the charger and after about an hour instead of red light flashing indicating it was charging it is now flashing yellow and I do not believe it is charging. Light is dimmer than it should be. Tried to charge again today plugged in went to red as expected within 15 minutes it is back to the yellow flash. Use it about an hour and it goes from green to red. Do not know what the difference is but there is something First light is over a year old now and still preforms well. This light only lasted about 2 months or a little less..
