I was happy to hear that it was releasing through Amazon as shipping times would be exponentially quicker than some traditional sites that cater to flashlight enthusiasts.Upon arrival I was indifferent with the lack luster packaging but noted the packaging did protect the light in transit. I do enjoy when a product arrives in a well designed package. That being said, when it comes to flashlights, packaging is worthless in the dark. The light feels well made. It is substantial in hand and the machining is surprisingly good at this price point. The heat sinks are well cut and free of sharp edges or burrs. The anodizing is consistent and seems to be of good quality. The reflector is an orange peel style although a smooth reflector would be my preference. This is one of the great things about Sofirn. They are in constant contact with the flashlight community and have noted that a smooth reflector is in the works and was delayed due to some manufacturing issues. My second concern was that the anti-roll / tactical ring was loose and may prevent a sealing issue. I realized after that this was the design and the ring seats between two o-rings. It is removable and the o-ring closest to the tail cap is what ultimately seals the body to achieve the waterproof rating.Accessories: I purchased the package that includes the light and two 5500mAh size 26650 batteries and a dual bay charger that can accommodate a variety of rechargeable cells. A micro usb cord is included that powers the charger. The light ships with spare o-rings, two split rings to attach the included should strap and a replacement switch cover. The charger is better than those that are often included in lights in this price range. The charger pulled 2 amps during the cycle and ramped down as the cells reached capacity.The light is impressive in the hand and in performance. A quick comparison showed distance results comparable to a thrunite catapult and an astrolux FT03. The amount of light was far greater and there was some spill that illuminated the area in front of me. The light gets warm but does manage to dissipate heat quite well. I am impressed with the quality and performance of the light.I purchased this light at full price and did not receive any compensation or discount for my review.
