The 10,000 Lumens may be only slightly over rated but not by much. I have a 12,000 Lumens diving flashlight which puts out about 40% more light than this one. I would say this is actually a 8,000 Lumens flashlight. Buyers beware that most of the LED flashlights other than the name brands are over rated so this is normal as some are over rated by as much as 10 times. The difference between this and my 12,000 Lumens diving flashlight is that it has an USB charging port, power meter and cost about half as much. However it is not waterproof, only clear lights no red or blue, water resistance only as the water will enter through the USB port which is not completely sealed by the rubber piece. Use this light only in low/med mode and occasionally turn to high for brief moment otherwise it get really hot. At low or medium, after turning it on for 30 minutes remained warm within comfort zone to hold but at high the heat was unbearable. I use it mostly at low/medium which is more than sufficient to light up a room and that makes batteries last longer. The 4 included 18650 batteries seems okay but only time will tell, again 90% of the batteries sold online, the mAh are over rated, stick to name brands. Also if you need a powerful flashlight, stick with 18650 battery powered ones, though some of the AA batteries are rated as much as 1,900 mAh but likely the discharge rate is unable to keep up with higher power settings and the over all run time may be cut in less than half as much as expected. The light beam on this flashlight has a hot spot in the middle so it is not suitable for photography or videography unless it is bounced off the ceiling or wall. I am a photographer, I hate using the harsh camera flash so I highly recommend this to photographers. I have no idea why photographers are still shooting mostly with flash (perhaps old fashion and can’t keep up with technology), because in most situations the LED light works much better as you can detect the shadow placement live (What you see is what you get). The key to shooting good indoor photos is to bounce the light but it has to be very a very powerful flashlight like this one. This flashlight is so bright (about 10 to 30 times brighter at high setting compared to my other flashlights) that it will embarrass them. As for durability, I do not know and I will update this review later. I have a drawer of LED flashlights and I have giving most of them away to friends and only keep the ones with at least true 300 Lumens. This one is a keeper even though it is a bit cumbersome to carry and hold with my medium size hand. I really wish they drop the size down to 3 x 18650 and make this a bit smaller in diameter with zoom and less powerful. I really do not need 10,000 Lumens. I think 7,000 Lumens with 3×18650 will be more ideal. Also all electronic buttons will slowly discharge the battery so I would also like a mechanical On/Off storage button. I leave this flashlight in my car, charge it with USB whenever needed and use it to shine and flash on the back of my open trunk lid in emergencies at medium setting. Since I am storing this in my trunk, I read somewhere the 18650 can retain 50% of its power at 25C for about six months but at 30C it will be at appx 25% so keep it charged every 4 to 6 months. As for the legitimacy of this review, you can tell I am a photographer from my other reviews such as the Canon 5D Mark IV currently ranked on top, I own more than 50 flashlights- reviewed many of them and I am not associated with the seller, just trying to help.Update: I left it in the car for about 30 days and the batteries are completely dead. The batteries are not holding a charge. My recommendation is for the seller to up the price and include higher quality batteries.. My flashlight got upwards of 145°F, I could not hold it without gloves. Burns will develop on human skin in less than a second at 160°F.I can’t tell if all lights are like this or mine is defective..
