It’s mounted very far forward next to the muzzle brake and the lens has not shattered or anything.I do however reccomend thred locker on the mounting screws and mounting nut. Especially the nut that holds it to the rail. It likes to come loose.My only complaint is that there is no double sided tape or velcro to mount the pressure pad.It also comes with a standard click button rear cap if you do not want to run the pressure switch.The pressure switch its self is dual function. You can have momentarily on or click a button for permanently on. I find that very nice. I reccomend this over a surefire or any name brand for the price. If I ever break this I will definitely buy another.This light does get hot after about 10 mins of continuous use.I’ve run about 150 rounds through the AR15 with this light and it worked great .Night hunting for animals, I havent shot but have lit up a deer’s eyes about 550 to 600 ft off my back porch in the field when my dog got agitated about something in the back yard. I think this is a great white light hunting light for nuisance animals.It doesnt add a lot of weight to the rifle and mounting it to the right side of my rifle I dont notice it is even there.TL:DR great bright light. . I was really nervous that the negative reviews on this light would be true.However, I’m pleasantly surprised!Brightness: I’m no expert in lumens. But this light is going to cause a target to be disoriented for sure. It’s brighter than any other light I’ve owned.Durability: Seems like it’d hold up well against light to moderate impact. But full disclosure, I only just received and mounted it today. UPDATE 4/12/20: The light began to malfunction. Feyachi customer service is absolutely wonderful. They are taking excellent care of me! 4/22: They replaced the entire light for free!Size: It’s short, which makes it more difficult to prevent the barrel-shadow when mounted to a weapon (depending on your weapon), but I love the size because it keeps it lightweight.Looks: Honestly, this is just a great looking light on a weapon. I love the matte black finish.The switch remote: This is what I was most worried about based on some other reviews. It’s pretty amazing what you get for 30 bucks these days.Not only are these lights INSANELY bright, they’re also focus-adjustable, so you can have a really wide beam or a really tight beam. The pressure switch works well…the only thing that worries me a bit is the cord on the pressure switch (specifically, where it goes into the end cap on the flash light), so we’ll see how well that holds up over time with repeated battery changes. And even if it does break, the light comes with a push-button activator cap as well, so you just use that instead and mount the light in a spot on your rifle where you can turn it on with your thumb…definitely not the end of the world.The light is made of some pretty durable aluminum and mounts to 1913 picatinny rail slots. Stays in place like a rock (but don’t forget, ALWAYS Loctite EVERYTHING), and it’s pretty lightweight so there isn’t a noticeable change in inertia when you shoulder or sight your rifle.Bar none the best feature about this light is that it comes with 2(!) rechargable(!) 1200 mAh LiPo batteries and a charger. That’s a huge deal…usually gun lights use weird, obscure, expensive batteries and taking that out of the equation entirely is an excellent move.I went ahead and bought a couple for my rifles. I’m considering getting a few more and putting them in my cars.. I put this light on my AR build. I love Feyachi lights because they look good, are made well, are super bright, and come in at a budget price. Easy to mount, and comes with everything needed to get it on right. If you like the pressure switch, it’s also included. Definitely a great deal when you don’t want to break the bank on a weapon light..
