I thought the description of the flashlight said it was solid. I just went back and looked and it does not mention whether the beam is solid or not. I guess I will keep it but probably keep it for emergencies only. It will not work for finding predators at night trying to kill my livestock since the beam is not a solid beam. Other than the beam not being solid it seams to be a good light with good distance. Just difficult to see what you are looking for with the four squares for a beam.

I returned the first flashlight because the rain guard came out and was impossible to reinstall w/o taking the flash light apart. The second (replacement) flashlight worked well for two weeks and then failed. The switch failed . The machining on the flashlight body is good, optics seem to be fine but the product suffers from quality control problems in sourcing sub components and assembly. The literature states that the product is covered by some warranty however there is no phone number or web reference to get repair parts of replacement if the product failed after the 30 day return policy by Amazon. Stay away from this product or any other product manufactured by this company. Unable to rate this product as no battery was included (which was one of the reasons I purchased it). Comes with a nice case, aluminum construction, looks great, but the battery wasn’t included.Update 1 week later:The team at BERCOL were great at responding and resolving the issue. They shipped a new flashlight immediately and it works great!Great customer service guys thanks for everything..
