The specific momentary switch function on the MicroStream will allow for the light to be activated for as long as you maintain at least 1.35 pounds of pressure on the button. To fully actuate (cla-click) the off/on button you must apply, once, a force of 2.75-3 pounds on it. Once you have fully actuated the button, you need not maintain pressure on the cap, unlike a momentary switch. As far as durability goes, this light seems reasonably durable as mine has survived multiple drops on wood flooring and concrete at about waist height. The affordable price is a big plus, too. I heard about the new FC11, and was intrigued, and after hearing people going on about it, ordered one for myself. :DI’ve always liked Wurkkos and Sofirn lights (which share quite a bit of genetic material), so it’s no surprise I like the FC11 as well. It’s both different and similar, which seems contradictory, but it’s not. The head is almost identical to the SC31B, yet the body-tube is unique, not smooth nor knurled, but ribbed, which is a new feature. The tailcap is magnetic as well, letting it stick to metal surfaces. (Beware of carrying any light with a magnetic anything, as it can come dangerously close to credit cards and such, and erase them.) So this can be a perfect around-the-house light, or tool-bag light as well.In the typische orange-and-white Wurkkos box is the light, printed manual sheet, baggie with lanyard and extra O-rings, and USB-C charging cable.First impression is that quality is excellent. Perfect anodisation, no nicks or spots, a nice smooth semi-gloss black ano. Except for a blue ring around the side-switch that provides a nice splash of color, everything on the light is black, including the pocket clip. All fully charge I compared them to my other flashlights and I would say this flashlight has between 5k and 9K lumen, if that. I should have known. I sent mine back.. In less than a week I have ordered and received light and replacement. I ordered this light last Monday. I received it on Friday. It did not work unless plugged in. I notified seller and have received replacement which I am very satisfied with today Monday again.I wanted this for a backup dive light, however I do not trust a charging port that is only sealed with a flap which can run open underwater. Not worth testing it as saltwater can damage charging connections.Other than that I am satisfied with brightness and glad it is rechargeable..

Streamlight survivors speak for themselves. Smaller helmet flashlights are great but I wouldn’t be caught dead on a fire without my streamlight on my chest (12 years as a professional firefighter). I was skeptical of this lower profile model with an LED bulb (yes I was still rocking a real bulb) but honestly it works better than my older model ever did. I also like the flashing mode you can put it in by holding down the power button. I have used it several times on the freeway to help control traffic at night. Your can really get peoples attention from a distance with this thing. Bullet proof, water proof and it runs on AA batts I get from my department. Nuff said!. Light worked perfect for a while, but now the batteries or the the battery pack do not maintain contact all the time and light is now extremely unreliable. Also the coat hook slips out of the hook on my turnout coat, I had to cut up a small nasal trumpet and cover both top and bottom of the hook to stop it, witch it did. It has a smaller head than my old survivor, but I cannot rely on it, that hardy matters does it? It has a smooth beam with no hotspot, so it does light up an area such as a room very nicely, but without the hotspot, it doesn’t have a lot of “throw”, so viewing at a distance isn’t so great (even with the zoom), which is why I really like this light for indoors. It doesn’t get hot, gives nice run time, and the on/off switch is great – no fumbling through 18 modes of strobe. It’s small but not tiny, and easily held between fingers instead of whole fist. Great price also. 1200 lumens though ? Lots of outfits really exaggerate, but it is very nicely bright. My guess more like 800-1000..

My wife bought a handful of the more expensive models. They had the five position switches which I HATED!!!! Who needs a dim flashlight setting and in my 71 years of outdoor experiences, I never needed a flash setting. But I had to cycle through them and often overshot the solid bright setting, which was a real PITA when running out the backdoor to see what’s making noise in my yard at night.This has only the binary selector switch – On/Off. Perfect! My only quibble is it comes equipped for using three AAA batteries, not with a rechargeable battery.I logged on to buy another and then decided to write a review.. FINALLY! The perfect 18650 flashlight! I have a few different versions of this type of flashlight. They have all worked well, but this one is top of the list. I can not emphasize enough how great having just an on\off switch is!! The lights with the 5 modes drive me nuts. I never use anything but high and it’s too easy to get into one of the modes I don’t want and then have to cycle through all the modes to get back to high, and some lights start in a different mode on every click (which makes the light useless to me). Also the XM-L2 bulb in this light is a LOT brighter than my Urpower 5 mode version, which is supposed to have an XM-L T6 bulb. I use a flashlight all day every day at work and the one mode on and off and extra bright bulb is really great! Thanks!.

The other 2 are still with me, and one of those spent 4 months in the yard last summer. I found it when I hit it with the lawn mower. The mower blade shaved a chunk of aluminum off one side. I took it inside, disassembled (awesome how easy these are to completely break down) cleaned it, dried it, threw out the battery (wouldn’t take a charge any more), re-assembled, put a good battery in it and it works great. I carry it everywhere, show it off and brag about it. I have gone through a lot of flashlights. Always some are better than others, but I have other Skysted models of lights and am becoming a fan of this brand.. With the right batteries (18650, not included) this is very bright, 1000+ lumens for sure. It’s noticeably brighter than my certified 700 lumen light.
