This is a nicely powerful (1600 lumens), super-bright flashlight, putting out a lot of light. I like how the on/off button is handily located on the back, opposite the light beam and is easy to use with a quick push of the thumb. I like that he light beam is easy to change with the non-slip twist zoom for various light needs; small and precise up to encompassing a large area, great for illuminating a hiking trail. It feels sturdy and well-made and is comfortable to hold with a textured grip so as not to slip. I have not used it around water or in the rain, but I love that this is not a worry with the flashlight being water-resistant. Adds a little peace of mind. The flash mode is great to have for emergencies. I may pick up another of these while they’re on sale to keep in my Jeep. I am torn on the batteries in that the rechargeable type that often come with these may offer more battery energy; however, I always have AA batteries in the drawer, so this flashlight will always be ready to use AND I can have extra batteries along when camping or out in nature, where you don’t want your light to go dead. I purchased as everyday carry for walking the dog and was really impressed with the brightness on high. It comes in handy when trying to figure out what a distant object is. I used the 10 tap programming to set the low medium high range and find the low setting to be bright enough for walking and getting 2 weeks before charging. I change to high only if necessary saving battery power. I do have two issues. I must turn off the flashlight to switch from low to high which means it’s goes dark just when I wanted the most light. It would be better if I could switch from low to medium, to high, without having to turn off first. The second issue is because the flashlight is top heavy, the clip doesn’t really hold the flashlight vertical. This makes the clip useless to me as my jacket pockets won’t support the flashlight. Overall however it’s a really good flashlight that’s small enough for my pocket and does a great job of lighting my way.. This light has 3 programming modes. The default mode is bright and strobe, second mode is bright only, third is dim bright. The first 2 modes program correctly but I need the dim and bright but does not program the dim and bright and the the bright is just medium so never gets to bright. Useless light to me as unable to program. The third mode should be dim, medium, bright. But only goes from dim to medium, which is not even a defined mode. I bought this flashlight because it was cheap and i needed a new light in case the power went out. I didn’t need much, but this little thing packs a punch. I brought it to scout camp instead and i was impressed by how well it lasted. Many of my fellow scouts went off and spent $30 on a flashlight that broke the next day. Everyone wanted my flashlight but It was too good to let go of. Would buy again and do suggest it for anyone looking for a good and affordable flashlight.. Flashlight lasted 2 months, if you can even say that. Within the first week it stopped functioning properly, it would go on sporadically if you tap it on something. It worked in that fashion hitting the power button and tapping it on something until today when it fell once to the ground.
