I don’t like that it doesn’t have a setting memory. When you turn the flashlight off and back on it will turn on at the brightest setting your battery will allow. I also don’t like that the beam is so focused. See, I’m a welder and I have to clean my welds of any excess wire, buckshot(BB’s) and slag. To do so you hold your light parallel to the work surface and look for shadows that don’t belong. This lights beam shines above the surface making it harder to see what needs to go.That being said, I like the battery life and the feel of this flashlight. It feels durable in your hand and the broad head gives it that “my light means business” look.. I bought 2 of these and they did not last more than 6 months. The quality on the housing and the LED is horrible. The spring for the battery came off of one and the other one has an LED that decides to flicker or not even turn on. Horribly unreliable. I wish I could get my money back. Got Streamlight Polytacs now and haven’t had any issues like these. They seem tactical but they are horrible Chinese bootleg quality that touts great features but are horribly designed and will fail within the first year. It is a well done flashlight. High quality, bright enough, use it for work and keep it in my tool rig.Good for now, but I’d love to design and purchase an upgraded new version.First off, it would need to be usb rechargeable, because what isn’t these days. It’s convenient.Second, it needs a tailcap switch. Having to constantly fumble and turn it in my hand to find the on/off/mode button is an unnecessary extra step. I am a flash light guy, I have a small collection, I use them for work. I know what it takes for a good light. I really like this one, overall after several months of using it, I carry it all the time. Good throw, clean light, clean spot and spill. I really like that it does not need a charger. It stays cool and handles well in your hand. I would like it to weigh less, that would be my only issue. That being somewhat subjective. Finish has remained flawless, unlike some of my Nitecores. Buttons have a good feel. It does not have memory. I would like to see this have an optional non fabric holder specific for this light. That would be a plus, but no issue with the light.. I tried to post a detailed review for this product including multiple pictures and even a video showing the different brightness levels but I don’t think it was accepted. This set was the best priced at the time I was looking to buy some rechargeable flashlights and it even included 2 batteries. I have been pleasantly surprised by the brightness and by how long the charge lasts. I’ll likely buy two more sets to keep around house and in cars for emergency. I’ve already dropped it a couple of times onto tile floor, but it still looks and works like new. No breaks, cracks, or pieces rattling around inside after being dropped onto tile floor. The power/mode button works really well, and has a nice rubber texture feel to it. This flashlight feels nice and balanced in your hand, it’s not overly top heavy. The rechargeable battery works surprisingly well and provides long lasting high power. It also recharges to full power in about 30 minutes. I was always a little bit skeptical about rechargeable flashlights, but after using this flashlight I’m def sold on them. This flashlight came in a nice little plastic protective case with everything needed including the battery, and charging cable/plug. The only negative thing I can say about this flashlight is that I’m not quite sure if it produces the full 1198 Lumens listed in the title. The reason I say this is because I compared this SAMIC Flashlight with another flashlight I own which is a HUSKY 500 Lumens LED Flashlight (which is still very bright in its own right) and when I compared the two Flashlights side by side at night time outside in my dark backyard, this SAMIC Flashlight was not much brighter than the HUSKY 500 Lumens Flashlight. Just to be clear, this Flashlight was brighter than the HUSKY 500 Lumens, but it def did not seem to be twice as bright. Now with that being said, this is still a very bright flashlight that can light up close areas and long distances just as well. This flashlight exceeded my expectations. I then focused into “flood ” mode and again found the smaller light was a touch brighter. Did the bigger light achieve the advertised 2000 lumens? No. Not a chance! Did the smaller light achieve its advertised 1000 lumens? I doubt it. I say that because I do not have a light meter to give a solid number ,but, I have another light advertised at 650 lumens that is the same or maybe slightly brighter than these lights. My point is, you can by another 2 light set for half as much and achieve the same results. I expected to find exactly what I found in my testing. I was just hoping I was wrong since I shelled out the few extra dollars for the superior set. Love this flashlight! A bit large, but I like the design of it. I like the brightness of the LED light itself. Camping with this will be great since I like to see the trail ahead of me while hiking. These flashlights (2 pack) seemed like a great buy. I had purchased a similar light a year ago, and it works beautifully. After charging these new lights, I realized they would not last long on a single charge. They also are no brighter than my original. I decided to do some testing, and here is what I found: My original light from a year ago has a clearly marked 3.7volt battery with a brand name and a capacity of “3400mAh” clearly printed on it. The batteries from the new flashlights have neither a brand name or a capacity stated on the batteries – in fact they do not even say lithium ion on them.My original flashlight will run 6-7 hours on a single charge at the brightest light level. These new lights run only 1 1/2 hours at full brightness. I timed both new lights, and also switched out the new batteries with my older original light battery. The results were always the same: new, unmarked batteries 1.5 hours run, older “3400mAh” battery at least 6 hours. From these results I would say the new batteries have around 1000mAh capacity – the weakest you can buy. Very bad purchase, and returned today. The cost to replace the batteries with better ones is not insignificant. Do not purchase these Chinese made flashlights without getting assurance they have truly high capacity lithium ion batteries in them. It isn’t worth it!. This came in a dual pack. Both flashlights came charged and when I turned on the first light, I was pretty impressed by the output, solid feel and the superstrong butt magnet. Unfortunately the second flashlight, the CRI (Color Rendering Index aka quality of light) was not the same. Second one was noticeably darker and grayish. I fully charged it and still the same. Obviously you can’t expect top LEDs from a Bin but now that i have the two to compare I wish the second was the same..
