UPDATE:I changed my original rating from 5 to 1 because the battery is so bad! I charged it all night in an outlet at home and brought it camping with a full battery indication on the back, went for a late night walk with the light on full brightness. The flashlight lasted an hour at most then died. Our walk back in the pitch black dark woods was a little scary…honestly, I wasn’t expecting much with this flashlight but it is super bright!! I could see all the way across the lake and up the mountain clearly! The light bar on the side is awesome as well and it perfect light for a tent or smaller space!! Definitely would recommend!. I live in the PNW and light becomes an issue in the winter. So as I’m out working on my acreage I want a light that has several functions, and a long batter life. I don’t have it out for skunks, but I definitely don’t like the aftermath of a dog/skunk encounter. TRYING TO RID THEM OF “SKUNK” IS A HUGE AMOUNT OF WORK FOR ME, BECAUSE MY DOGS ARE HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS. I think there are better lights out there for more specific uses and for much more money, but as a general usage light for predators and safety–say if you are out hiking and get caught in a wilderness area after dark–it is, in my opinion, the BOMB. I haven’t used the space light yet, but it is very bright for working on something without holding it in your hands. I can see someone doing emergency car repairs using this light if it is sitting on a fender. Great illumination. As I stated before, I can see a long way at night. So far that if I were hunting in daylight, I would hesitate to shoot something at that distance without a high-power scope. (I’m inserting that for the guys so they can figure out the beam power. With your naked eye, you can see so far at night that you’d not be able to place your bullet during the day for a quick and humane kill. It shines way too far at night and picks up eyes too far away for daylight shooting accuracy without a scope.) I’m just guessing, but at night I think it picks up eyes at at least a half-mile away. Granted, I may not be able to tell, at that distance, what kind of animal I’m seeing. I only know it’s something wild, and normally I can tell by the height of the eyes what the wild animal probably is. We have a lot of deer and a huge coyote problem here, and this light works well for seeing the coyotes at night in our fields so we can keep our dogs safe. I would not only recommend this light to my friends, but I have let them go out with it at night to try it out, and the response is always variations of, “Oh, WOW! Great light.” I do not regret this purchase. I have come to depend on this light at night. With it in my hand, I feel relaxed as I wander over our land when it is pitch dark. My advice is, JUST BUY IT. It’s a great light and you will find lots of uses for it. I am thinking about ordering it for a friend whose dogs have gotten sprayed twice by skunks over the last six months. Nasty! This light will help her prevent chance encounters, because she goes to work before daylight. I’ll also add that we have a two-lane highway adjacent to our land. The highway is quite a distance from my home, but the beam is actually bright enough that I’m careful about directing the beam toward the road for fear of blinding drivers. I usually make my own holsters out of a leather filet knife sheath or a leather pliers holster. Cut off the bottom of the holster and soak the rest in alcohol. The alcohol will soften the leather and then slide the flashlight in. Upon drying it will mold to the shape of the flashlight. Do this a few times and you will have a custom handmade long lasting holster for under $10. This flashlight is super bright. Well made and heavy duty. Charges fast but not sure about battery life. On high it drains the battery somewhat fast but on the low setting (which is still bright) it lasts longer. The flash light even has a glass breaker spike that can be removed from the tail cap.. This is the best flashlight I have owned so for. It is a perfect weight, powerfully bright and very well made. It may not be a Mag but in my opinion, it takes first place unless you are looking for something heavy and expensive like the Mag. I will definitely be getting another one. So far I have no complaints but will update this review if anything arises..

I was not expecting much from this flashlight but after I got the 18650 battery charged up it was a bright light. The first night I used it for a little over 5 hours and the light only decreased in brightness a little bit. The flashlight was a lot brighter with the 18650 then with the 3 aaa batteries. Overall I think for everything that comes with the flashlight it is a good buy.. While I like this flashlight, there isn’t much I can add that hasn’t been already covered by other reviewers that you probably haven’t already read. However, it is worth noting that ALL of these flashlights are mostly from the exact same manufacturer and simply rebranded. I’ve purchased a great many of these flashlights (I have a bit of a flashlight obsession), often when they are on sale, and have seen first hand that there is no substantial difference between many of them.For example, this Flashlight is rated as 1200 lumens. I have another flashlight that is EXACTLY the same from a different “manufacturer,” down to the bulb, brightness, box and accessories it came in, except for the name that was stamped on it – and it was rated at 1000 lumens. Do I know if this is 1200 or 1000? No, not really. But The beam looks exactly the same on the wall side-by-side down to the square chip pattern in the bulb, and if they’re the same thing, and they list different measurements…well you be your own judge, but I think that someone’s not being so honest. It’s a not-so-secret secret that a lot of the products here on Amazon are simply ordered in bulk from Alibaba, dropshipped to Amazon fulfillment centers, and sold as being an entirely new product by the seller. I love it!!!. The kit I received looked like it had been opened. There was a loose plastic “cover” that fit nothing in the box (see photo). The battery was in the light, but the battery sleeve outside. MOST WORRYING, the battery charger was flimsy and had no indication of battery direction. Other reviewers have noted it is not overcharge-protected and can cause a FIRE. I am returning this cheap piece of junk. The only reason I gave it one star is that the light worked, but obviously wasn’t going to last..
