This light is bright and well made, but… you cannot just turn it on and off and have it remember your last “mode” next time you turn it on. The light always turns on in bright torch mode, and you have to cycle through all the modes including the annoying strobe mode to turn if back off. That’s right, you have to press the switch five times to turn it back off, and endure the strobe. If you miss “off” you have to press another 5 times. It is no good if you are going to be turning it on and off all the time which is how I use these small lights. If you don’t mind having to press so many times to turn it off, the features are nice, especially the Red lamp.. As a field inspector I needed a multi-use flashlight for use to inspect structural elements. I have used the standard LED flashlight that is difficult to use in dark places and taking notes and the LED work light that has no beam focus. This light with its multi uses from head lamp to flashlight is what I needed to free my hands to take notes or a beam to focus on dark areas. I like the fact that it has a magnetic base that I can stick onto a metallic object if I need my hands to be free. Worthless trash… I sent it back before ever using for work as it is obviously made from subpar parts and as far as the brightness being 90000 lumins that’s an obvious lie. But it is So UNRELIABLE!!!!!!!!!! Maybe it’s due to the magnetic cap that messes with the battery, but this thing never consistently lights up. Some times a few sharp smacks does the trick but it will fail on you. Don’t buy this very appealingly priced product because, even though it looks cool, it will leave you in the dark. It doesn’t even drain the batteries, I checked so many New Out of the package batteries and now it just won’t light up. I’m so disappointed in this flashlight. This is my second light. First one I had for maybe four years. The charging port broke. Contacted Soonfire and was told to send a photo of the flashlight. Told them it is a VS50 what more do you need to know? I never got an answer or to many other requests.. I like the flashlight overall and it is very bright. I had the Soonfire VS37 for 1 year and the on/off switch was not turning on the light unless depressed several times. Needless to say, I contacted Soonfire customer service for a warranty issue. On rare occasions in my over-consumption-of-goods journey, I find something extremely compelling. That would be this fantastic little light. It’s so lightweight I don’t know it’s in my pocket. Don’t be dissuaded by the ill-informed reviews that ding this light because ‘it’s not bright, or it’s too hard to get to high’. . they simply bought the wrong color of light and were not informed. The other non-coyote colors start out on low. My minor criticisms: admittedly the secondary mode IS hard to engage. You have to master the right timing of partial press to engage secondary model. Charge time can be a little slow (4+ hours), and the always-on full click of the switch requires a lot of pressure, so weak fingers may struggle a little.January 2020 Update:Still loving this light and have given lots of them to family and friends as gifts. Changing the output between the first and second lumen settings requires a little practice because you must get the timing right. But a little practice and you will have it down just fine. Important to an EDC flashlight is the momentary on feature and this light allows for momentary on with a partial push of the tail button or you can depress it all the way and lock the light on. Be sure to order the right flashlight when you place your order. I got the coyote version which defaults to high lumens with the first press and low lumens with the second press. The other versions are just the opposite. If you want high lumen mode to come on first then you should get the coyote version. If you want instant low first then get one of the other versions. I can see pros and cons to each version so consider where and how you are going to use it and let that use be your guide. All in all, this is an excellent little light. Would I buy another one if I lost this one? You bet I would..

I purchased the Duracell Durabeam Ultra LED Flashlight 500 Lumens, 3 CountSold by: BananaJuice back in April 2019. I have used it very little and it seemed to work fine initially. Last week I had to do some work in the basement with the power off and needed to use a flashlight. I tried to use the Duracell Durabeam but could not get the light to remain on. It would turn on for about 2 seconds, then turn off. I kept trying to get the flashlight to turn on and stay on for about 5 minutes, then gave up. There is definitely a defect in these flashlights. Unfortunately I am now beyond the return window and cannot return them.. These are terrible. All three turn off randomly. Within the first week of usage on all of them, they stopped working. Tried contacting Duracell about it, but apparently, these are made and distributed by Technomate, and we have to contact them via (888) 910-2280. Absolute trash product..
