I would not want to view it from a close distance as it will surely be blinding, which for security defenses is good.I like the slightly larger size than other smaller led flashlight I have. Sliding it out, I liked the nice size of the front frame, it illuminates my backyard clearly. This same mode when lights up a 20×20 room nicely also. When zoomed to its tightest focus beam, it as expected is very bright. I wasn’t able to test how far it would illuminate something as there’s too much light in my area, but I’m confident it will be more than I’ll ever need.There is rubber neon o-rings sealing the battery compartment but not one on the front led lenses cap. Probably because people wouldn’t buy this flashlight.* The head of the flashlight STILL rotates (like the zoom function common on many other brands), but it serves ZERO purpose. I’ve bought some supposedly high capacity batteries that would only take 800 mAh – returned those immediately for a refund, this is where Amazon shines.. I bought this for my husband for Christmas. We’ll see how this holds up, but initially I give it two thumbs up.. Remote pressure switch fails to function. However the regular switch works just fine and the light itself is halfway decent for the money. The mounting ring is a tad undersized or the light is too big for the mounting ring. I was able to make it work because I had spare screws that were longer. But it’s intended purpose is to be on my rifle and since the remote pressure switch doesn’t work, its useless to me and the light will find itself in a junk drawer with other flashlights. It’s better to spend more to get quality because if a situation arises, you can’t depend on this light to properly function on your rifle.. the shipping time was 25 days, but that is not the problem, it is sent with the Picatinny rail mount that is NOT made for that light, and it not only did not fit due to being to small for the light, it also was made with the lowest quality, when I installed them on my other smaller flashlights, it easily stripped the base, I purchased 2 and both had the same problems, the mount does not fit the light, also the flashlight is BIG and heavy and has NO adjustment for the beam. Officially falls into my Chinese junk category..

In case you’re not aware as I wasn’t, a 18650 battery (NOT INCLUDED) is a specialty battery that you likely won’t have in your house. So, you are supplied ONE insert for AAA batteries you will have And one insert for the 18650 you won’t have. That means while you received two flashlights, you’ll only be able to use one of them until you purchase the specialty batteries which will run you at least $18 with recharger. I was really angry. That makes this flashlight pack very expensive and certain not what I planned to spend.. These are advertised and sold as 2000 lumen flashlights. They are nowhere close to that. I have flashlights that are 500, 750, 1000, 2000 and 2500. On the highest setting without pushing the focus forward this is about the same brightness as the 750 lumen light I own when I compared it to my other lights. For $15 these are decent flashlights, but I can’t give more than 3 stars because of the false claim of 2000 lumens..
